Is Courtside HD available yet?
Public App Store release is coming soon. The screenshots on this website show development previews with sample data. Public YouTube connection availability depends on completion of Google’s verification process.
Do I need a YouTube account?
Only for YouTube streaming. Record only works without connecting YouTube. To stream, your selected channel must be eligible for live broadcasting; Google/YouTube may require verification and an activation waiting period. Check your channel in YouTube Studio.
Will a test stream be public?
New connected broadcasts default to Private, and Public requires confirmation before Start. Review the selected channel and visibility every time. With a manual stream key, visibility comes from the specific event in YouTube Studio.
Does opening the camera start recording?
No. Opening the camera shows a preview. Capture starts when you press Start. Keep Courtside open during capture; backgrounding or locking your phone can interrupt camera use.
What if storage or service runs low?
Storage checks help you prepare. Local recording or buffered highlights may stop if storage gets too low, while streaming can continue if the connection remains available. A poor connection can interrupt the stream even when local recording continues. Check the on-screen status and any saved footage afterward.
Where are my videos and highlights?
Open the session’s Videos & highlights. Phone footage and saved clips remain inside the app until exported or deleted. A linked YouTube broadcast opens on YouTube and follows its current visibility and archive availability.
Can I trim a YouTube broadcast directly?
The clip editor works with local or imported video files. A YouTube link is a playback reference, not a local editable file. Import footage you own and are permitted to use; Courtside does not download YouTube videos.
How do I keep or remove my footage?
Export important recordings and clips to Photos, Files, or a destination you choose before deleting the app. Deleting an app copy does not delete exported copies or a YouTube broadcast. Highlights are separate files from the original footage.
How do I disconnect YouTube?
Use Disconnect in YouTube setup. You can also revoke access through Google account permissions. Local session history can remain after disconnecting. See the privacy policy for storage and deletion details.
